ETHICAL VS UNETHICAL BUSINESS

Business ethics are moral values and principles, that determine our conduct in the business world. It refers to the commercial activities, either with other business houses or with a single customer. They can be applied to all aspects of business; from generation of an idea to its sale. Business use the society for its resources and functioning, thereby obligating it to the welfare of the society. While the objective of all business is to make profits, it should contribute to the interest of the society by ensuring fair practices. However, greed has led the present business scenario towards unethical business practices, legal complications and general mistrust.

Code of Ethics

Many organizations now implement the code of ethics in their company polices, which they implement during induction and regular training. A Code of Ethics "is generally a more blanket statement of values and beliefs that defines the organization or group" (Brandl and Maguire). It is primarily for the following areas:
Company's assets, funds and records
Conflict of interest
Management and employee practices
Information on competition

Following are a few ethical business practices that should be followed to build a honest reputation and ensure smooth running of the organization.
Investors: Ensuring safety of their money and timely payment of interest.
Employees: Provision of fair opportunities in promotions and training, good working conditions and timely payment of salaries.
Customer: Complete information of the service and product should be made available. Personal information of the customers should not be used for personal gain.
Competition: Unscrupulous tactics and methods should be avoided while handling competitors.
Government: Rules and regulations regarding taxes, duties, restrictive and monopolistic trade practices and unlawful activities like corruption and bribing should be adhered to.
Environment: Polluting industries should ensure compliance with the government norms regarding air, water and noise pollution.
Unethical Business Practices

The financial sector is abuzz with acts of violation of norms to amass wealth in an unethical manner. Following are some of the activities that come under the ambit of unethical practice.

MONEY VS MONEY

Money makes all the things and I don't find any exception.The root cause for all this "DESIRES". desires teach or drive every one.people of any sex try to earn livelihood but I learned people try n number of ways good and bad to earn money few facts recently shows that I'm living in a wrong/worst/helll society.people entertain wife's and daughters to be in bed with someone to earn. Institutions and corporates multiply money by lobbying government officials and exploiting natural resources and over exploiting labour.poor parents make money by selling their kids.poor people sell their kidneys and blood to make livelihood.robbers loot money or things to make money.sanyasis on the name of GOD take donations and do other anti social activites to earn more.politicians eat public money.when I saw rajneeti movie I was more shocked.There are more crimes and culprits related to money ....but do u really think "all this is needed"?. Do v really need money and money ....cant we live without it?.. I really say without money we cant live..when I go to some hotel or restaurant they wish me but I know they are wishing or saluting money behind me..when I walk in street known or unknown people wish me becoz of money..gals fall in love and marry you if u have extra paise...if I start writing advantages I think millions of memory space is short...money makers say's do whatever crime but make money and society will scold for few days and once u start releasing money they all praise you &forget past.I still don't know is money everything? making enough money or more money is always on perception but is there any individual who say I have enough money? if he has millions he crave for trillions so desires are everything and multiplication of desires is root cause for all problems.

But my friends bottom of my heart says money is not everything we need to make money with a exhaustive(reasonable) stop we make money to run our home and very basic needs. my grandpa used to say loyalty with Maa lakshmi is impossible but loyalty with Maa Saraswathi is guaranteed.even he used to say if u make more money it is sure for others and if u make reasonable money it is for ourselves.Remember our Vedas says whenever Maa lakshmi comes she comes with all the relatives like jealousy,desires,sins,etc., one who conquers maya of money they will be enlightened.The rock bottom of the life when we die we hardly take a single rupee which is in our hands but still we need money to undergo the cremation process.

still I think and the history says no one could carry a single paisa to heaven or hell and money brings serious disadvantages.it will spoil relations,friends,society by and large..beware of money and beware of corrupted world..earn enough and put a full stop to desires.
